Brave New World The task for this year's Folio Society competition was to illustrate Aldous Huxley's 'Brave New World': a chance to reread the book (a bit creepier than I remembered) and improve on a few new favourite things, handwriting for example.

From the first chapter on, setting the scene in the so called 'hatcheries', there seems to be a continuous murmur in the background of all scenes, subconsciously planting state-approved catch phrases firmly in heads and hearts. I had a lot of fun writing these phrases again and again... almost a borderline brainwashing experience.
